At the Fasig-Tipton Fall Sale, in Saratoga, three of the four Courageous Cat yearlings offered each sold for $30,000. In 2014, 14 yearlings by the Grade 1 millionaire son of Storm Cat were offered at public auction with 11 selling for a median of $30,000. The top price of $80,000 was paid by Crupi's New Castle Farm I for hip 407, a colt out of an unraced Smart Strike mare, consigned by Lane's End, agent for Pam & Martin Wygod at the Fasig-Tipton NY-Bred Preferred Yearling Sale in August. Courageous Cat was bred to 91 mares in 2014 and his first crop will debut at the races in 2015.
